The reality TV star reveals her diagnosis, upcoming surgery, and ongoing treatment plan following the discovery of invasive skin cancer.

The Real Housewives of Durban star Jojo Robinson has revealed that she has invasive skin cancer on her chest and back and will undergo surgery next week to have it removed.
Speaking in a series of Instagram Stories this week, an emotional Robinson said the severity of the cancer will determine whether she needs skin grafts.
“I found out a few weeks ago that I have skin cancer, so I have to have surgery next week to have it removed. They are invasive ones.
“Might get skin grafts. Now the problem is my body is 90% covered in tattoos, so where do I get skin from?”
She said doctors are still unsure how deep the cancer has spread.
“We don’t know how deep they are. I’m hoping they haven’t gone into the bone, because apparently they can. I’ve had some of them for many years and I just didn’t know that it was cancer.”
Robinson stressed that the cancer is genetic and not linked to her tattoos.
“It has nothing to do with the tattoos. It’s in my genes because my mom had it, and the African sun. I have very light skin.”
She added that while many may assume her tattoos are to blame, her condition is something she will have to manage long term, which could affect her body art in the future.
In addition, Robinson revealed that she is scheduled to undergo a kidney operation in six weeks due to kidney stones in both kidneys. She has already had a stent inserted to help with urine flow.
She said the cancer surgery has taken priority due to its urgency.
Robinson will find out next week Friday whether doctors achieved clear margins. Going forward, she will need check-ups every six months, and if caught early, the cancers can be treated without surgery.
“It’s been a lot these past few weeks. I just don’t talk about it, I’m just quiet. The people in my life that I thought would care just don’t message me, don’t speak to me, they don’t care.”
