The missing helicopter carrying four occupants in Kruger National Park has been found.
The chopper went missing on Monday, 06 April 2026, while conducting an investigation after a report was brought to the attention of law enforcement about a carcass that had been discovered.
The aircraft, which was on a routine operation, had on board a pilot, two SAPS investigators, and an environmental crime investigator.
Police spokesperson in Mpumalanga, Donald Mdhluli, confirmed that all four occupants were found unharmed.
The group had safely landed in a remote area on Monday, but as they attempted to navigate through thick bush, they were unable to do so.
After spending the night in the bush, they were spotted on Tuesday morning by a SANParks helicopter search team, who saw them waving for assistance.
