A masked man has been filmed disabling a security camera during a break-in at a rural property outside Queanbeyan.

A NSW Police spokesperson said officers were told two people broke into a house and shed at a property on Goulburn Road in the rural locality of Mount Fairy, which is about 40 km east of Queanbeyan, at about 1:30 am on 27 July 2026.

“During the break-in, a number of electrical tools and equipment were stolen from the location,” the police spokesperson said.

“A crime scene was established and officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team were notified.”

Police have now released CCTV footage and images of two people who may be able to assist investigators.

The footage shows a woman standing near the shed door, appearing to be acting as a look-out, while a masked man rummages through the shed before spotting the CCTV camera and grabbing it.

The police spokesperson said the man was of slim build, had an Australian accent and was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper and tracksuit pants.

The woman is of medium build, with light coloured hair and was wearing a light-coloured hooded jumper and long pants.

Both are of Caucasian appearance and aged between 25 and 30.
