Synopsis
Xu Mingzhu (Pearl Zane) and Jiang Yi (Ivan Reed), a wealthy young master pretending to be poor, have been in love for many years. After Jiang Yi is diagnosed with a terminal illness, Xu Mingzhu discovers that she is pregnant and also accidentally learns Jiang Yi’s true identity. In order to save Jiang Yi, she pretends to be materialistic and breaks up with him, giving birth to Xu An’an and raising the child alone, which causes Jiang Yi to harbor deep resentment toward her.
Five years later, Xu An’an is involved in a car accident while trying to save Jiang Yi’s mother. In desperation, Xu Mingzhu turns to Jiang Yi for help while hiding the existence of the child. Jiang Yi’s fiancée discovers the truth and secretly schemes, leading to the child’s death and framing Jiang Yi for it. Believing that Xu Mingzhu abandoned him for money, Jiang Yi’s misunderstanding deepens, further widening the rift between them.
