Cape Town restaurant ëlgr has announced that it will serve its final dinner service on Saturday, 30 May 2026, bringing an end to its chapter at the well-known Kloof Street location.
In a social media message shared with guests on Saturday, the restaurant said it had reached the end of an “incredible chapter” and invited patrons to visit before closing for one last meal, a final toast, and a last opportunity to enjoy its signature dishes.
‘One more meal’
“After an incredible chapter at 75 Kloof Street, our restaurant will be serving its last dinner on 30 May,” the statement read.
“We’d love for you to join us before then for one more meal, a final toast, and a last chance to enjoy your favourite dishes with us.”
While the closure marks the end of its current operation at the Kloof Street venue, the restaurant hinted that a new phase is already in development behind the scenes.
“While this part of our story is coming to a close, something new is already taking shape behind the scenes. Stay tuned as we evolve in a new direction,” it said.
The South African website will publish further details regarding the future of the brand once revealed.
