Synopsis
Freelance photographer Bai Qingmei is forced into an engagement with Zhou Sheng’an, the CEO of Hengtai Group. Resistant to the arrangement, she sets strict “three rules” from the start and privately finds him dull and uninteresting. Yet Zhou Sheng’an gradually warms her heart through quiet, attentive gestures—carrying her shoes, making brown sugar water, and offering steady, gentle care. As their bond deepens, feelings begin to grow.
However, haunted by family trauma and a deep fear of “open relationships,” Bai Qingmei misinterprets his tolerance as a lack of love and breaks off the engagement. When she later encounters harassment from Zhang Jiuliu, Zhou Sheng’an steps in to protect her and ultimately pursues her all the way to Jingbei to propose once more. After many twists and emotional struggles, Bai Qingmei finally overcomes her past, embraces sincere love, and in the height of summer, their romance blossoms in full bloom.
