Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze after deciding not to renew their two year contracts.
The management duo were informed of the decision today as Amakhosi begin restructuring for the upcoming season. Fitness coach Majdi Safi will also exit the club, whilst the future of goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi remains uncertain.
Ben Youssef joined the Soweto giants ahead of the 2024/25 season, with Kaze arriving shortly after in October 2024.
Both originally served as assistants to former head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who left the club in October 2025.
Following Nabi’s departure, the pair stepped up to lead the senior team, steering Chiefs to a much-improved 54 points in the league the club’s second-highest points tally in the last eleven years.
During the 2025/26 campaign, the coaches oversaw 39 matches across the Betway Premiership, CAF Confederation Cup, Carling Knockout Cup, and Nedbank Cup, recording 19 wins, 11 draws, and 9 defeats.
Under their stewardship, the Glamour Boys narrowly missed out on the knockout phase of the CAF Confederation Cup on goal difference, finishing Group D with 10 points.
The club has expressed its gratitude to the technical team for their dedication and contribution, confirming that further personnel announcements will follow in the coming weeks ahead of the new season.
