The last time Canberra man James Parrett was seen, he had just travelled through the NSW South Coast and into the Illawarra.
There have been no confirmed sightings of the 27-year-old since then, and police are asking the public for help finding him.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said his family and friends had not heard from him after he left the Canberra suburb of Kambah around 6:30 am on 24 August 2026.
Investigators found he left the ACT in his Kia Rio hatchback via the Monaro Highway, stopping in Batemans Bay and Bermagui later that day.
Then on the morning of 25 August, he was seen at a café in South Nowra before later travelling to the Wollongong Central Shopping Centre.
But there have been no more confirmed sightings of him or his vehicle since then.
“Additionally, none of his bank accounts has been accessed, nor has he had any contact with family or friends,” the police spokesperson said.
“Police and James’ family hold significant concerns for his welfare, and are requesting the public’s assistance to locate him or his vehicle.”
The spokesperson described him as Caucasian in appearance, with a fair complexion, short, messy brown hair, brown eyes and glasses.
He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black track pants and a black jumper with what appears to be a blue and white “GTR Roofs” logo on its back.
His red Kia Rio has ACT registration YOM07E and has significant hail damage to the bonnet and roof.
