Four killed in police shootout linked to extortion in Khayelitsha
Four suspected extortionists were killed in a shootout with police in Khayelitsha after allegedly pointing firearms at officers. Police had acted on a tip-off and attempted to stop a vehicle linked to the suspects before the confrontation. IPID has since opened an investigation into the incident.
