Synopsis
After being betrayed by his younger brother Lin Tian and his fiancée, Lin Han (Ethan Frost) is cast out of his home and ends up living in an old courtyard left behind by his mother. There, he accidentally discovers that the water tank in the corner of the yard is mysteriously connected to the water tank of Meng Lu, a young woman living in 1980 during the era of China’s “return-to-the-city” movement, creating a link across time and space.
Using knowledge from the future and scarce modern supplies, Lin Han trades with Meng Lu for valuable vintage items from the past, quickly building a fortune. Along the way, he is repeatedly framed and targeted by Lin Tian and Zhao Shihao, but with his intelligence, careful planning, and the support of Jiang Xinyao (Jade Rivers) from the Jiang Group, he manages to turn every crisis around. In the end, the villains are forced to suffer the consequences of their own schemes.
