South African rapper and media personality ProVerb, whose real name is Tebogo Thekisho, has been announced as one of the official hosts of the Live Lotto Draws.
The former Idols SA host will present the National Lottery and Powerball live draws alongside media personality Anele Mgudlwa.
The announcement comes after new National Lottery operator Sizekhaya Holdings took over from Ithuba on Monday, 1 June 2026.
The first live Lotto draw aired on e.tv at 9 PM on Tuesday, 2 June. Future draws will air every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 9 PM on both e.tv and SABC platforms.
In a post on social media, ProVerb said he was grateful for the opportunity.
“Tonight marked the return of the National Lottery live draws, and I had the privilege of stepping onto that stage as one of the new hosts. Grateful for the opportunity to be part of a moment that many South Africans remember fondly, now reimagined for a new era.
“Here’s to possibility, anticipation and making every draw count,” he wrote.
