Synopsis
While receiving an offering from her believers, the mountain deity Chun Jian discovers that the sacrificed person, Ji Jiu, is connected to her unfinished heavenly tribulation. She decides to keep him by her side in hopes of overcoming the tribulation.
Unbeknownst to her, Ji Jiu is actually trying to dig out her divine heart to resurrect his lover. As they spend time together, Ji Jiu schemes to make her reveal her true form in front of her believers. Their faith shatters, and Chun Jian’s divine power disperses. Just as she is about to fade away, Ji Jiu finally learns the truth of what happened a hundred years ago. In the end, he sacrifices himself and vanishes from the world.
A hundred years later, a new prayer lights up the Ten Directions Candle, heralding the rebirth of Chun Jian.
