Red Bull has opened nationwide auditions for South African choirs and vocal groups to perform at the sold-out Red Bull Symphonic 2026.

Red Bull has officially opened nationwide auditions, calling on South African vocalists and choirs to secure a life-changing spot on the lineup for Red Bull Symphonic 2026.
The winning group will join the Vocal Hue choir to perform alongside Afro-house heavyweights Sun-El Musician and Dlala Thukzin, conductor Chad Hendricks, and a full symphonic orchestra.
The popular music event, which sold out within hours, is titled Afro House, Our Home and will take place at Montecasino in Johannesburg on 13 and 14 June 2026.
Here’s how to enter the choir competition
Interested choirs and vocal groups can enter by following a few simple steps:
- Assemble a choir group consisting of four to eight members.
- Record an a cappella performance of your favourite Sun-El Musician or Dlala Thukzin track.
- Keep the performance video under 90 seconds.
- Upload the video to your preferred social media platform.
- Tag #RedBullSymphonic along with the featured artists.
- Submit the official entry via Red Bull Symphonic South Africa.
All entries will be reviewed by the Choir Director, who will select the winning group to join the official rehearsal process before performing on both concert nights.
Entries for the choir auditions close on Friday, 30 May.
