Qin Qingyao (Charlotte Quinn), a modern office worker, unexpectedly transmigrates into a novel as a doomed supporting character. On the original host’s wedding day, her bridal sedan is stopped by her fiancé’s mistress, leaving her publicly humiliated before ultimately meeting a tragic end. Knowing the plot in advance, Qin Qingyao decisively calls off the marriage during the wedding procession. She then rescues a seemingly foolish young man named A’man (Julian) from the streets and impulsively takes him in as her live-in husband.
A’man is actually Crown Prince Shen Chenzhou, who was framed, poisoned, and left with memory loss. As his memories gradually return, he quietly protects Qin Qingyao by her side. From a marriage of convenience to true love, the two slowly fall for each other and vow to spend their lives together.
