Xie Manman (Maya Shaw), the inheritor of an ancient Miao healing tradition, sacrifices her eyesight to save Gu Qingchuan’s (Cody Reed) life. Moved by her devotion, Gu Qingchuan proposes to her, and the two eventually marry. However, after Xie Manman miraculously regains her vision, she is devastated to discover that her husband has been having an affair with his secretary — and has even been secretly keeping the woman in their home.
