WINGS OVER WINELANDS: WHEN AND WHERE

The airshow takes place this Saturday, 16 May 2026. The gates will open at 08:30, with the flying programme running from 10:00 to 15:00.

You will find Vegelegen in Lourensford Road, Somerset West. Parking at the estate is at your own risk.

Tickets range between R140 and R220, which you can purchase at www.quicket.co.za.

SO FLY

The line-up sees the likes of the Marksman Aerobatic Display Team, the Raptors RV Display Team, the Aérospatiale Gazelle, the Aero L-29 Delfín jet display and more taking to the skies.

From these performers, you can expect an aerodynamic showcase of note, including formation flying and aerial aerobatics.

Commentary for the airshow will be provided by Ian Fraser. Throughout the programme, Fraser will provide enlightening insight into the aircraft, pilots and manoeuvres you will see being carried out.

OTHER ACTIVITIES

In addition to the airshow, Vergelen promises a wide range of family-friendly activities on the day.

If you want to indulge in good food and drink, there will be curated wine tastings and gourmet food on offer.

You can also peruse the craft stalls or, if you prefer cars over aircraft, you’re sure to enjoy the vintage car display.
