Synopsis
Three thousand years ago, Ning Changyue was a loyal guard, and Song Yiqiu was a revered princess. To break free from worldly constraints and stay together forever, they secretly took the elixir of immortality, gaining eternal life. However, immortality did not bring eternal happiness—it became a cage that trapped them. Over the long passage of time, they endured conflict and suffering, eventually drifting apart.
In the modern era, they reunite in new identities. On the surface, they are a “couple” who are free to seek other partners. But deep down, they are still bound by their ancient fate.
After an unexpected incident, they meet Xie He, a mysterious girl who can see through their true identities, and Lin Huai, a male college student who secretly loves her. Lin Huai’s appearance gradually uncovers a thousand-year-old love-hate entanglement involving all four of them.
