CEBU CITY, Philippines — Over 200 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Central Visayas have been repatriated from the Middle East amid escalating tensions in the region, authorities said. Most of the returning workers came from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, according to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas (OWWA-7).
