Controversial South African businesswoman and reality TV star, Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize, has broken her silence on social media to celebrate her 51st birthday.
In a post on Instagram, Mkhize reflected on the milestone by sharing a message of faith and perseverance.
“Birthday energy and Easter blessings collide as I rise fully with Jesus, walking aligned with His plan. Every step is intentional, every moment orchestrated by faith because nothing happens by mistake and God’s plan is unstoppable,” she wrote.
This marks Mkhize’s first post since she announced the first league win of her team, Mbabane Highlanders, in October 2025.
Keeping a low profile
The reality TV star has been largely silent and kept a low profile since she was confronted with legal and financial battles in 2024, stemming from an outstanding R40 million tax debt owed to the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
The KwaZulu-Natal High Court granted SARS a preservation order to freeze Mkhize’s assets in November 2024.
Since then, multiple properties and luxury vehicles, allegedly worth over R100 million, have been raided and seized.
In early 2025, she lost her beloved Royal AM football club after it was placed under curatorship, auctioned off and ultimately expelled from the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
By June 2025, 13 of her luxury cars, including a Bentley Continental GTC, a BMW i7 xDrive60, a Mercedes-Benz S680 Maybach Edition 100 and the Royal AM tour bus, were put up for auction.
New legal battles
According to News24, Mkhize’s ex-husband, Sbu Mpisane, has filed an application at the KwaZulu-Natal High Court to compel her to appoint a liquidator to facilitate the division of their joint estate following their divorce. The hearing is set for 13 April.
She also recently appeared in the same court to oppose an urgent application by SARS for the immediate sale of five properties.
According to SARS, the properties are allegedly deteriorating while under a preservation order and are costing taxpayers around R88 000 in expenses.
