Ruan Qingge (Ava Green) had been secretly in love with Bo Shiqian (Gavin Bowen) for many years. However, Bo Shiqian’s heart belonged to Lin Qingmo (Nina Lane). Under pressure from their families, he entered into a marriage of convenience with Ruan Qingge, agreeing to divorce after three years. After the wedding, Bo Shiqian treated her coldly. Although their relationship showed slight improvement over time, everything changed again when Lin Qingmo returned to the country.
After being repeatedly hurt, Ruan Qingge finally gave up completely. When the agreed time came, she chose to divorce and walk away without hesitation.
