To escape a hollow relationship and a career slump, award-winning actress Jiang Nan ventures into the desert to immerse herself in a new role. There, she crosses paths with Lu Bei, an engineer secretly tracking a fugitive. To protect her, Lu Bei disguises himself as local security and “detains” her.
After the misunderstanding is cleared, Jiang Nan becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy when she witnesses the criminal’s true face. Forced into a fake marriage with Lu Bei to aid his mission, the two find themselves blurring the line between pretense and reality as feelings ignite.
