City of Tshwane is experiencing fuel supply challenges
  • Tshwane bus services have returned to normal after a fuel shortage disrupted operations and left commuters stranded.
  • Many passengers were forced to seek alternative, often costly, transport during the disruption.
  • The city has apologised and says measures are being implemented to prevent future supply issues.

Buses in the City of Tshwane are back to normal operations after commuters were left stranded due to fuel shortages.

The Tshwane Bus Service saw many commuters trying alternative means of transport over the past few days, which turned out to be expensive for some of them.

This crisis is now a thing of the past, as fuel has been successfully delivered to all bus depots.

“We are pleased to inform all commuters that the fuel supply challenges previously affecting Tshwane Bus Services (TBS) have been resolved,” said MMC for Roads and Transport, Tlangi Mogale.

The city apologised to all commuters for the inconvenience and disruption caused by the temporary suspension of services.

“We understand the impact this has had on daily travel arrangements and appreciate the patience and understanding demonstrated during this period.
