  • The murder case of DJ Warras has been delayed pending the completion of forensic and financial evidence.
  • Accused suspects Armindo Pacula and Vincent Majola remain in custody while facing premeditated murder charges.
  • The prosecution requires additional mobile data and formal documentation to finalise the indictment against the pair.

The murder trial concerning the death of media personality Warrick Stock, widely known as DJ Warras, has faced a further delay.

On Tuesday, the Johannesburg Magistrates Court postponed proceedings against the two accused, citing outstanding investigative documentation.

Mozambican national Armindo Pacula and taxi industry figure Vincent Majola made a brief appearance in court.

Both men face charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder, with Pacula facing an additional charge for being in South Africa illegally.

The pair have been held in custody for four months following the initial denial of their bail application.

State prosecutor Vincent Mochabela informed the court that several critical components of the investigation remain incomplete.

The prosecution is currently awaiting the results of facial comparison analysis, financial records pertaining to the accused, and the comprehensive downloading and analysis of mobile phone call data.

These elements are essential for the final drafting of the formal indictment.

Stock was tragically shot and killed in December last year outside Zambesi House in the Johannesburg CBD, where he had been contracted to oversee auditing and security operations.
